Seether, Just Plain Careless
Today I had the pleasure of hearing Seether`s latest release and let me tell you I almost crashed my car when I heard it since it is a remake of Wham`s classic song … Careless Whisper. Yes Seether although not the greatest band in the world has hit a all time low in their career when you are reduced to doing a cover of a Wham song, what is next for them? Wake me up before you go-go . The song itself is a good even great classic song that we all fondly remember but I think like most of you we rather remember it sung by George Michaels and not by a ”alternative rock” band like Seether. This band at one point actually started out to be half decent with songs like : Broken or Rise above this, but now they seem to lack inspiration or perhaps they are just following the trend to cover a perfectly good song with an “alt rock” twist . Believe me when I say I have nothing against bands putting their own spin on classics but Careless Whisper as a “alt rock” song ? I think Seether needs to check themselves into rehab and get their heads examined. As usual this is my opinion and you are intitled to yours but before you go-go ( lol ) don`t just go and dismiss what your just read, check out the song, ( i have attached it below for your listening pleasure ) and let yourself be swept away by this great cover !
