So you think you can dance music
Now in it’s fifth season So You Think You can Dance is not only about the dance but another big part of it is the music and that is what I will be discussing in this blog. The music that this show exposes to us is quite diverse, of course you have the usual hits that we all know but because of the many styles of dance that this show presents it also opens a world of songs and music from ll around the world and in all kinds of styles. Dance and music go hand in hand and because of this show I have learned to perhaps appreciate certain songs more, The choreography that accompanies the songs on the show sometimes gives you a whole new appreciation for a song that before you might not have liked or payed any attention to. I am not of course saying that every single song on the show is great just that a song that you might not have payed much attention to in the passed might just become something more once you associate it with dance as this show does so well. I have many songs that I listen to fondly now that they have been exposed to me in the form of choreographed dance and I am sure you do as well, for those of you who might not watch the show I say give it a chance it is a really good show with great talent. There is also a Canadian so you think you can dance for you my fellow Canadians and it is equally as good, season 2 is set for mid august. My point in all this is to let all you know that for discovering new or lesser known songs So you think you can dance is a great forum and it also gives you another way of seeing a song, this through the beauty of dance. For your viewing pleasure I have added a video from the U.S. show as well as from the Canadian show, enjoy music through dance.
