img6ac22fffzik9zj.jpg      I thought that it would be fitting to blog about perhaps one of the most popular soundtrack of all times , Footloose. This soundtrack from the movie starring Kevin Bacon was released in 1984 was immensely popular but perhaps even more popular and for maybe the first time was the soundtrack for this movie. I am sure all of you can remember everyone you knew at the time had their copy of this cassette or record and knew all the songs by heart at least I do remember this time fondly. t was not that these songs where iconic just that it was a great soundtrack overall and every song made you recall a certain scene of the movie especially the song footloose itself by Kenny Loggings. I could go on and on about this soundtrack but instead I will of course list all the songs on said soundtrack and perhaps remind all of you of one of the great albums that should be in your media collection if it is not there already. So if you are all ready here is the song list from Footloose.

- Footloose by Kenny Loggings

- Let’s Hear it For The Boy by Deniece Williams

-Almost Paradise by Ann Wilson and Mike Reno

- Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler

- Danicing In The Sheets by Shalamar

- I’m Free ( Heaven Helps The Man ) by Kenny Loggins

- Somebody’s Eyes by Karla Bonoff

- The Girl Gets Around by Sammy Hagar

- Never by Moving Pictures

- Metal Health ( Bang Your Head ) by Quiet Riot

- Hurts So Good by John Cougar Mellancamp

- Waiting For A Girl Like You by Foreigner

- Dancing In The Sheets 12″ remix by Shalamar

Well that is it , not the longest soundtrack but all the songs memorable ones for each and everyone of us that loved that movie, we all have our favorites for sure but regardless of which ones they are this soundtrack in my opinion is one on the best ever in fact I think I will go and listen to it right now and be brought back to a simpler time when all young kids wanted was to dance Laughing Anyways I hope that you all enjoyed this little trip down memory lane and remember that music from the 80’s was not as bad as some might think.
