To buy or not to buy, that is the question !
Recently I purchased 2 CD’s this after I would have to say at least 3 years and I have to tell you all I am very disappointed . It seems like I just wasted money, perhaps you, like myself are of the opinions that ever since music sharing began on the web with such site as limewire there is no more need for CD’s. I can relate to the fact that not all of us have computers yet but most do and wasting 10 or more dollars on a single CD seems pointless or am I wrong. For the longest time I set myself criteria for CD purchasing such as ” I must like at least 3 songs ” or ” if it’s on sale ” all in all this methods really don’t work cause you could miss out on some great tracks or albums all together because the dislike you have for the single released. I find it kinda sad that my elaborate CD collection is not really gonna get any larger and will remain like every other media form and slowly become obsolete. I for one am going to continue dedicating my time to music sharing sites where you can find pretty much anything , download it, share it, save it and even copy it to a CD for listening to out of computer range. So the question is to all you consumers out there, are you gonna keep giving into the machine and buying CD’s or are you like me gonna go with the times and stick with web music sharing. I for one say to all of you stop trowing your money down the toilet buying CD’s and save up for a good computer, get limewire ( or other ) , buy some blank CD’s and have your fun getting all the music you want at a fraction of the cost.
Personally, I download music to test-drive it. If I like it I will try to wait for the band to play a show in my area and buy a CD at the show. That way the money is going directly into the bands hands. If not then I will buy it at a store or download it from itunes or zunior. Altough I don’t like the music industry as a whole I don’t like stealing from musicians.
